The Opportunity

We are looking for a Journeyperson Electrician to lead small projects and service work across residential, commercial, and solar-related jobs. This is a field-forward, client-facing role where your technical skills, troubleshooting ability, and professionalism will directly impact customer satisfaction.

You will be trusted to run small jobs, handle service calls, mentor apprentices, and set the on-site standard for safety, quality, and communication.

What You'll Do

• Lead and complete installations, repairs, upgrades, and maintenance on residential and commercial electrical projects
• Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently, diagnose root causes, and close out service calls in a professional manner
• Support solar system electrical work and related components, ensuring safe and code-compliant connections
• Maintain high safety standards, organize your work area, and leave job sites clean and presentable
• Communicate clearly with customers, explaining problems and solutions in plain language and building trust

What Success Looks Like

• Within the first 3–6 months, you are independently running small projects and service calls, with minimal call-backs and strong client feedback
• You consistently complete work to code, on time, and within the scope provided, while maintaining accurate documentation and material counts
• Apprentices on your jobs are progressing in their skills and safety habits under your guidance
• You are a go-to field lead for mixed residential, commercial, and solar tasks, helping keep schedules on track and clients informed

What We're Looking For

• Red Seal/Journeyperson Electrician certification with solid residential and commercial experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to solve problems independently in the field
• Clean driving record and comfort working at heights when required
• Professional, client-facing communication skills and a willingness to mentor apprentices and support a team-based culture

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: CA$40 to CA$45 per hour, based on experience
• Company vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter work van for field-based roles), extended health care, dental care, health and dental benefits (50% employer-paid), and employee assistance program
• Employment type: Full-time, permanent employee
• Work primarily in Edmonton, AB, with service and project work throughout Alberta
