Journeyperson Electrician - Solar Installer Crew Lead

Location: Edmonton, AB (projects throughout Alberta)

Pro West Solar Systems grew out of Pro West Electrical (founded in 2020) and now delivers end-to-end solar solutions for homes and businesses across Edmonton and surrounding communities. We're a local team built on reliability, clean workmanship, and a client experience people remember.

As a Solar Installer Crew Lead, you'll lead installs from setup to commissioning while setting the tone for safety, quality, and customer care. You're the on-site face of Pro West, guiding your crew, solving problems fast, and making sure every homeowner feels confident about what's happening on their roof.

Key Responsibilities

Lead residential (and occasional commercial) solar installations, ensuring quality and schedule alignment
Plan daily workflow, adapt to site conditions, and troubleshoot technical issues quickly
Deliver an excellent customer experience: clear explanations, respectful presence, clean job sites
Coordinate with internal teams to keep projects on track and documentation complete
Maintain a \"zero incidents\" safety mindset and enforce safe work practices
Contribute to a team-first culture and help develop crew members

Qualifications

Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (preferred/required for lead-level scope)
Comfortable working at heights (deal-breaker)
Valid driver's license + clean driver's abstract
Strong communication skills (crew + clients)
Safety tickets (Fall Protection, CSTS/WHMIS; First Aid preferred)
Solar install experience and/or product training (asset, not always required)

Pay and Benefits

Employment type: Full-time, permanent employee
Pay: CA$40 to CA$45 per hour (based on experience/fit)
Performance-based incentive/bonus program (teams share savings when projects beat budget targets)
