We are hiring a Solar Appointment Setter to connect with homeowners, generate interest in solar energy, and schedule qualified appointments for our sales team.

This is a field-based, customer-facing role focused on starting conversations, building trust, and creating opportunities for solar consultations.

Position Overview

The Solar Appointment Setter is responsible for engaging with homeowners, identifying potential interest, collecting basic qualifying information, and booking appointments for the sales team.

This role supports the early stages of the sales process and does not involve closing sales. It is best suited for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and are comfortable speaking with new people.

Key Responsibilities

Initiate conversations with homeowners about solar energy solutions
Generate interest and schedule qualified appointments
Collect basic information to support design and proposal preparation
Follow up with leads and maintain communication
Track activity and update internal systems
Work closely with the sales team to support the pipeline
Represent the company in a professional and customer-focused manner

Compensation

Target earnings: $55,000-$95,000 in year one, with higher upside for strong performers.

The Solar Appointment Setter is a business-development role focused on proactive outbound acquisition of residential and commercial solar customers within an assigned territory or target segment. The role owns end-to-end sales prospecting activities including research, outreach, qualification, needs discovery, appointment setting, proposal coordination, CRM management, and conversion of qualified prospects to closed bookings in alignment with company sales processes.

Responsibilities and scope

Own a defined prospecting territory or target segment and establish weekly/monthly outreach plans aligned with company revenue goals.
Develop and maintain target account and prospect lists using market research, lead sources, and data enrichment tools.
Execute high-volume, multichannel outreach (cold calls, emails, text where permitted, social outreach) to initiate first contact and schedule qualified appointments or site surveys.
Conduct discovery conversations to assess eligibility, budget, decision timeline, and technical constraints; apply qualification framework consistently and document outcomes in CRM.
Prepare and deliver preliminary proposals, coordinate scheduling with technical teams for site surveys, and hand off qualified opportunities to closers with complete context and documentation.
